Coffee is the reason most people walk through the door before 7am. We don't take that lightly.
At Mickle Pickle we've put a lot of thought into what goes in your cup, because a bad coffee at 6:30 in the morning is a rough way to start anyone's day and frankly we'd rather not be responsible for that.
The cups you've probably already seen
If you've spotted our takeaway cups around Tingalpa, you'll know they're a bit different. Each size has its own dog illustration — a heeler, a dalmatian, a dachshund. It started as a bit of fun and turned into one of those things people actually comment on, which we love.
Good packaging doesn't make the coffee taste better. But it does make the whole experience feel like someone gave a damn, which we think matters.
What's actually in the cup
We're not going to pretend we roast our own beans in a shed out back. What we will say is that we source carefully, dial in properly, and genuinely care about consistency. Your flat white on a Tuesday should taste the same as your flat white on a Sunday.
We do the classics well. Flat white, latte, cap, long black, piccolo, espresso. If you want alt milk or an extra shot, we're not going to make a face about it. That's just breakfast.
The cold side
Iced coffee gets a bad reputation in Australia because for years it meant vanilla ice cream in a tall glass. Ours doesn't. Our iced lattes, iced long blacks and Vietnamese wake-up are proper cold coffee, made the same way as the hot version, just over ice.
The Vietnamese wake-up in particular has developed something of a following. We're not surprised.
One more thing
If you're not a coffee person, we've also got chai, matcha, hot choc and a full range of teas. Nobody gets left out at Mickle Pickle.
Come say hi. We'll have something ready.
